The Alejandro Esovedo Quintet was a one-time live performance. The recording of what came from Escovedo and accompanying artists was released as a 2-part album called Room of Songs. This is Raoul Hernandez's review published in the Austin Chronicle, November 25th, 2005: "This Room of Songs, Austin's Cactus Cafe, is one of the birthplaces of Alejandro Escovedo, songwriter. He left plenty of shotgun casings on the floor of the True Believers, but in their aftermath, Escovedo emerged a songwriter with Gravity.
