About Alderfliegen
Alderfliegen is the solo project of Victor Ogle born and raised in Appalachia. Alderfliegen uses traditional folk instruments, classical baroque pop instrumentation, medieval-esque flair, and mythical Arthurian psychedelia to create his unique sound. Typical Alderfliegen lyrics contain themes of Germanic paganism, English folklore, European history, and fantasy tales. He takes a lot of inspiration from traditional Germanic and Celtic folk music, but pulls from many other genres like 60s psychedelic, traditional Appalachian folk, and post-punk.
