Actual Bird are Dominic Clarke and Lee James Abecasis of Sweet Potato/Strap The Button. The first L.P. "Clutching at Barrels" was made at home with the idea that it would never be played live so that no limits were placed on the layering and orchestration that could be carried out. The music was composed and sequnced in full before lyrics, vocal melody and vocal orchestration were added. The process took six months and the completed album was shared among friends but not released or publicized.
