Aavaar is an Iranian rock band from Tehran, Iran. Mehrdad Palizban (Vocal, Guitar) founded "aavaar" (literally: rubble, debris) with Sina Khodayeefar (Bass) and Hossein Shahsavand (Drums) in 1999. The band entered the Iranian Rock scene by taking part in the first underground Rock festival in the country (Tehran Avenue Underground).
