
Aaron Freeman (aka Gene Ween) is an American musician and a founding member of the experimental alternative rock group Ween. Freeman, along with childhood friend Dean Ween (aka Mickey Melchiondo), started the group in the mid-1980s. Aaron Freeman left Ween in May 2012. He played shows both solo and accompanied by Joe Young from 2012-2014. After moving to Woodstock, New York and teaching at Paul Green's School of Rock, Freeman began working on material for a new album.
