A Modern Synthesis is a post-punk band formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a duo by Ryan Taylor (lead vocals, guitar, bass, piano, programmed instruments) and Josh Miraglia (drums, vocals, piano, samples). They have had a few others join them as additional band members or guest musicians. Their debut album Pandemonium Across The Event Horizon was released on 20 August 2014 as a pay-what-you-want download on Bandcamp.
