The band A Kettle Prime (fondly known as AKP) formed in the summer of 2007 and in a short period of time has had a major impact on the local Maui Music Scene with its truly diverse and original sound. Combining elements of rock, funk, jazz and blues A Kettle Prime transcends the pop mainstream and normal island reggae feel to invigorate their crowd with crafty compositions and lingering note play. Whether psychedelic or trance, soaring melodies or in full momentum it is obvious that A Kettle Prime is rising.
