A Horse Named Friday is a chamber folk group from Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, which began as Jo El-Deek’s solo songwriting project in August 2023. Their songs were originally inspired by a search for answers to questions of their own human and inhuman nature. Soren Stokholm was the first addition to the group, starting on guitar but later picked up mandolin and banjo.
