A Far Cry is a conductorless chamber orchestra formed in early 2007 'seeking the freedom and flexibility of a string quartet as well as the power and beauty of an orchestra.' They are based in the Boston area and have performed throughout New England. They are notable for their independent model as the members manage all aspects of the orchestra themselves.
