In textbook fashion, the setting up of 8th hour began at university where guitarist/vocalist Daniel Marcus 'Lost without satnav' Grant met another guitarist/vocalist - Stephen 'Illegible handwriting' Moss. Their friendship trundelled along a bit like a milk wagon until Dan played some gigs on his lonesome whereupon Stephen took it upon himself to sit in the audience and drink warm beer. After a while, Dan thought things would sound better with a band
