7 Wheels* is the instrumental persona of producer and bass player Tony Thompson. The music of 7 Wheels combines Tony's love of funk, jazz, electronic and ambient sounds. Drums are tight, funky, but move organically. Tony likes to add live percussion whenever possible and to play real bass if it fits the vibe of the particular track. This stuff isn't just thrown together in a hurry cut-and-paste stylee, but crafted... Tony played bass in reggae/funk/rock outfits in South London the 80s, moved into recording, production, writing later.
