About 1848
1848 was a DIY political hardcore/punk band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1997. It was a mostly a 3-piece, consisting of Dan Houston on guitar/vocals, Jared Burke on bass, and Matt Leonard on drums. BJ Wuollet played 2nd guitar for a short stint (formerly of Kill Sadie). 1848 released a demo cassette, a 7", and a split 7" with Hangfire Disaster before moving on to other projects. The played a fair amount regionally, but had a failed attempt at their only tour which involved breaking down on their way to the first show
